Leeza’s place was founded by Leeza Gibbons to support other’s who like herself have loved ones with Alzheimer’s. I will be presenting on Veteran’s Benefits, and Medi-Cal. Veteran’s who qualify can receive funds to pay for care. I will be reminding the caregivers that they need to be wary of those who are using the word “Veteran” to imply they are part of the Veteran’s Administration. There are many annuity and insurance sales people using the Veteran’s Aid and Attendance benefit to help them sell their product. Personally I think it is deceptive to imply you are a Veteran’s organization when you are really an annuity and insurance sales organization. Consumers need to be careful. It is illegal to charge to help a Veteran apply for benefits, so they are not being nice when they offer to help for free. Consumers should ask how do these people make money?
